next stop: Paris

I’ve been dying to go to Paris for such a long time, and it’s finally happening next week. I’ve got a room booked in the Marais for four nights of pure Parisian adventure.  Yay!   I can’t remember the last time I was so excited about something.  And my new camera will get a very good workout.

I’ve got quite a good list of merceries to visit  (and will I be buying some serious amounts of yarn!), but if you have a favourite Paris must-see, must-do, or must-eat, please let me know, as I’d love to check them out.

  1. I was in Paris for 2 weeks this time last year and I would go back tomorrow!

My favorite (slightly off the beaten tourist path) place was the Jacquemart-Andre Museum. It’s a mansion with a beautiful art collection and a great cafe.

Afterwards, if you walk back towards the Seine along Rue Franklin D. Roosevelt, you pass a lovely faux ruin sculpture on the left side of the street. Behind it is a pretty hidden garden, which is a nice place for a rest.

Don’t miss the mercerie at la Bon Marche!

    Have a fabulous trip!

PS – I found your blog via the anglophone yarnies group on Ravelry. I’m PomegranateSeed there.
