lost knitting
Well, I’m back in London, but it feels very strange and surreal. I keep dreaming that I’m still in Tokyo, and am then terribly disappointed when I wake up and realise that I’m back to my regular life, and have to go to work.
I had such an amazing time in both Australia and Tokyo, and once I get my photos organised there will be a few posts about my craft-related adventures.
I’m feeling a bit lost at the moment, as I left my knitting on the plane when I got back in to Heathrow. I think I know exactly how I managed it – I had a window seat, and there was quite a gap between the seat and the wall, so things disappeared down the gap during the flight. I think it gobbled up my knitting.
The missing items include:
- one sock knitting pouch, handmade and purchased via Etsy
- one-and-a-half Charade socks, knit in Sundara sock yarn, colour Arabian Nights
- two sets of Knitpicks Harmony DPNs, size 2.0 mm and 2.25 mm
I’ve been phoning Heathrow Lost Property on a daily basis, but with no luck yet. Surely someone wouldn’t take it? Please keep your fingers crossed for me – I think I’ll cry if my knitting doesn’t turn up. (Oh, and in the interests of sharing all information that could help to have a safe return, I was on flight BA006 from Narita to Heathrow, Monday 2nd March. Seat 50K. Now you have all the facts. Send out the search party.)
Oh I do hope it turns up! It’s hard enough returning to real life, but this makes it harder…
Oh no! My worst travel fear when I went home for Christmas was that I’d lose my knitting. Even more than crashing!
I hope it turns up!
Fingers crossed for you!! But better that a knitter nabbed it though that an antiknitter binned it?
Good luck.
Any pics of the hols?
